Most Nigerians think that they are the only people that love eating Jollof rice no Ghanaians are not left out, jollof rice is style or type of food eaten mostly in Nigeria, Ghana and other parts of African countries.
Jollof Rice prepared at parties. This is the most popular Nigerian rice recipe. This is why you will always see it in parties. It is quite easy to prepare if you follow the simple steps.

Below Is The Step By Step Guide On How To Prepare Jollof Rice.
Ingredients For Preparation
3 cigarette tins or 1/2lb. of rice.
8pieces of meat or chicken.
8 large peppers (red).
2 medium sized fresh tomatoes.
2 medium sized onions
1half tins of tomato puree
1 cigarette tin or 1/2 pint of groundnut oil
1 teaspoon ground chillies
Flavoring: salt to taste
Half teaspoon dried thyme
1 Clove of ground garlic
1/2 of 1 lime or lemon
For Garnishing Use This….
2 hard-boiled eggs & A little boiled spinach
Now This Is The Method For Cooking Jollof Rice
1 First thing first is to wash your meat with a clean water,rub it with a lime or lemon juice, season to taste with salt.
After doing that you can now add your ground clove of garlic and keep it covered in a bowl at least for 1hr.
Then wash your rice and sieve properly for the water to drain completely.Cut your onion and one tomato into rings or a size you desire.
Ground or mince one tomato, one onion and red peppers
Now go back to the meat or chicken and add half a pint of water and cook until tender.
Drain the stock in a bowl, heat the groundnut oil until o faint blue smoke rises from the pot then fry your chicken until it browns or golden brown.
Fry the ground peppers, onions and tomatoes in the groundnut oil used for frying the meat. Add the tomato puree and season to taste with flavorings.
Reduce or lower temperature.
Note during this process the rice is expected to absorb the stock gradually. Cook until it is nearly soft.
Add the sliced onions and your tomatoes last and reduce the temperature also.
Steam until the rice is cooked. You can now cover the pot with greased roof paper and close the lid firmly on top to make get enough heat that will cook the rice.
Lastly, serve hot, piled in an oval dish and garnished witrh hard boiled eggs and boiled spinach that’s it you have cook your first jollof rice without needing a professional cook.
